C&MD meets Telangana Chief Minister


Sh. Manoj Mishra, C&MD of NFL & Ramagundum Fertilizer and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) held a meeting with Sh. K Chandrasekhar Rao, Chief Minister and Dr. Rajiv Sharma, Chief Secretary, Telangana on 18th Jan, 2016 in Hyderabad in connection with support for revival of RFCL Fertilizer Unit.
Chief Minister assured that the State government would extend all necessary help in reviving RFCL. He also gave necessary directions to concerned officials to provide water and power to the plant.
During the meeting, the state government confirmed 11% equity participation in RFCL. The state government also assured of giving industry incentives to the project.
Sh. Manoj Mishra, C&MD was accompanied by Sh. Vivek Malhotra, CEO and Sh. Sunil Bhatia, CFO.
The RFCL having a production capacity of 4.95 lakh tonnes of Urea and 2.97 lakh tonnes of Ammonia was started in 1980. But, the same was closed down in 1990 for various reasons. The present government decided to take steps to restore the operations of the RFCL. Once the operations are restored, the plant would provide direct employment opportunities to about 3,000 people.
With regards to other requirements needed for operationalising the RFCL, Chief Minister asked the officials to extend all necessary cooperation as per the TS IPass Act, brought into force for promotion of industries in the State.
